A fun-filled weekend for you "Horse Lovers" to play with our horses. The camp will begin like our Advanced Horsemanship Day Camp, which is not a pre-requisite to take before this camp.
We do have a prerequisite of the Basic Horsemanship Day Camp, and pre-approval by our staff. We hope you'll remember what we taught you, and use this opportunity to practice it all - the haltering, leading, grooming, tacking up, and riding, followed by the cooling out and feeding.
We'll start with an introductory ride working on proper posture, cueing, and gaits. A horse obstacle course will be used to make it interesting and to measure your progress. Afterwards, we'll hit the road for a Trail Ride.
Dinner will be a Chuck Wagon-type Dutch Oven affair like the Cowboys of yesteryear would experience on the trail. Dinner Saturday and breakfast Sunday are provided. Bring your own lunches for both days. We will conclude our first day with a campfire and songs.
Bring your bed roll (& cot if you want) to sleep around the campfire or in the barn.
Day two will be include a lot of riding. The weekend will be concluded with our fun and games rodeo.
Space is limited since each person will need their own horse for the weekend, so register early! Extra classes will be scheduled as needed. Class limit 6-8 riders. Ages 10 years old and up.
Don't forget to bring your helmet. We have some available if you forget yours or don't have your own.
NOTE: All classes have a minimum number of registrants to make or sorry to say it will be cancelled. So bring your friends and tell everyone you know.
