Class Description

A fun-filled overnight for a "Horse Lovers" to play, learn, and connect with our horses.

We do have a prerequisite of the Basic Horsemanship Day Camp, or you can get pre- approved if you are someone who currently gets regular horse experiences.

Camp will begin reviewing the basics: haltering, leading, grooming, tacking up. We then will be riding the horses to pair horse and rider up for the camp activities.

The agenda will include various horsemanship skills of proper posture, cueing, and gaits.  Horse obstacles will be used to make it interesting and to test your skills and connection with your horse. We’ll teach you fun ground games to play with your horse.

There will be woods trail rides, a lunch ride adventure, on horse back games, horse-related activities and crafts.

Dinner will be a Chuck Wagon-type Dutch Oven affair like the Cowboys of yesteryear would have experienced.  Bring your own lunches for the first day. All other meals provided.

We will conclude our first day with a campfire and songs.

Bring your bed roll, i.e., sleeping bag (& cot if you want) to sleep around the campfire. We will set up tents or sleep in the hay barn, if the weather mandates, but an experience of sleeping under the stars is unforgettable.

Space is limited since each person will need their own horse for the weekend, so register today!  Extra classes will be scheduled as needed.  Class limit 6-8 riders.

Don't forget to bring your helmet.  We have some available if you forget yours or don't have your own.

NOTE: All classes have a minimum number of registrants to make or sorry to say it will be cancelled. So bring your friends and tell everyone you know.
