Class Description

In this camp experience, participants will learn about our water connection on the Blue Planet that we inhabit.

  • Fun water cycle activity that brings understanding of a single water drop.

  • Salt water and pure drinkable water. How to purify water.

  • Learning about water-loving animals with games and journaling, to include:

    Frogs

    Turtles

    Ducks

    Fish

    Insects

  • Dehydration: prevention and cures.

  • Water Conservation for everyday application.

  • Pond exploration time.

  • This can include canoe / kayak time, when troops provide lifeguard to be on duty. Water small craft safety is then included.

Bring your own lunches and Sunday morning breakfast.

Overnight camps include meals for dinner Saturday night

Girl Scouts coming to earn their It's Your Planet Love It Journey will need to do a Take Action project Sunday after lunch to complete the requirements for this rank. Families that attend can help with a projects or plan their own, teaching Community Service to their children.

Canoe / Kayak time can be set up for your group. Parental life guards for their children or a lifeguard can be hired.
