Length of Time: Class begins Saturday morning at 9:30am and goes through Sunday 2:30pm
CLASS DESCRIPTION
Have you ever wanted to get off a trail in the woods and just wander but was afraid of getting lost? Could you do it if you had a compass? How would you like to learn many techniques that will allow you to wander free from the fear of being lost?
This class will teach how to navigate in the wild (off the beaten trail), using a compass along with other useful techniques. We will teach you basic orienteering skills, which will be put to use later in the day when the class goes through an orienteering course.

If you own your own compass or can borrow one, please bring it to camp.
Dinner Saturday and breakfast Sunday are provided. You need to bring your own lunches along with water bottle, plate, bowl, cup, and utensils (please no disposables). Also camping gear (tent and sleeping bag.) A camp chair, camera, flashlight, air mattress, and insect repellent are optional but nice to have. Also a musical instrument to play around the campfire.
Vegetarian Fare Provided like at all of our camps, just let us know.

NOTE : All classes have a minimum number of registrants to make or sorry to say it will be cancelled. So bring your friends and tell everyone you know.
